During the 60's and 70's, when movie actresses played the quintessential virtuous woman who stood by her man, Helen came across as a breath of fresh air with her glam factor and killer dance moves. Helen got her break in 1958 when she performed the song mera naam Chin Chin Chu in Shakti Samanta's film Howrah Bridge, which was sung by Geeta Dutt. After that, offers started pouring in throughout the 1960's and 1970's and Helen made her mark as a glamorous dancer.




Bebo has quite a few item numbers to her credit including the one in 'Don' where she stepped into Helen's shoes with the 'Yeh Mera Dil' number. The latest buzz doing the rounds in B-town is that gorgeous actress Kareena Kapoor is likely to be seen in an item number in 'Dabangg 2'. If rumours are to be believed, Bebo will be replacing Malaika Arora Khan and become the new 'Munni'.



Karisma Kapoor, who is known for her exceptional dancing prowess, is geared up to perform an item number in Akshay Kumar's upcoming flick 'Rowdy Rathore'. Karisma is expected to enthrall the audience with her sizzling moves in the song.


Deepika was seen gyrating to the sexy number in'Dum Maaro Dum'. She worked out rigorously, and trained hard for the dance. The number which is one of the most awaited songs of the season, will Deepika in her most sexy avatar till date. While it would be interesting to watch how Chitrangada fares in her item girl image in 'Joker', the fact is that going back to doing some serious roles is the best counsel she can take home.

Katrina Kaif was recently seen in an item number in 'Agneepath' and the song was totally in sync with Bollywood's of-late slant on flippant lyrics and called 'Chikni Chameli'. Was cool Kat's 'Chikni Chameli' naughtier than her 'Sheila ki jawaani' in 'Tees Maar Khan'?



The 'Murder' girl dazzled on screen last year in item numbers 'Jalebi Bai', 'Razia' and 'Shalu ke thumke'.

The first look of Vidya Balan's maiden item number, from Vidhu Vinod Chopra's 'Ferrari Ki Sawaari', is out and the bold and beautiful actress is seen draped in traditional red Maharashtrian attire in the raunchy track. The sultry actress, who has had a stint with onscreen dancing in her award winning movie The Dirty Picture, is seen dancing on the top of a drum, in red and golden nauvari sari and decked with gold ornaments.
